I remember seeing an article in Road and Track therabouts of 1989 where they featured a TR that was made into a convertible....while they were at it, they added four turbo's, as well.

The TR does lend itself to being a droptop very well...

Might've been a Koenig Testarossa, although those only had two turbos.

Kinja'd!!!

LOL, "only" two turbos, which could be tuned to make 1000hp.

You've figured out a way to make a Testarossa ugly. I am not amused.

The great thing about that car is the roll over protection system; if you get rolled over, just jump out and jog for a bit while the car bounces all over the road and reorients itself. Once the car is planted on all four tires again, jump in and keep driving.

The best part is, you don't even lose any speed while doing this!

The silver one pictured above was a one off built by Pininfarina for the Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli. I remember it by the blue stripe above the rocker panels. Most of the spider conversions that look similar to it were done by Straman in California. The Koenig cars are another story altogether.
